Our Team

ELLEN COMISAR spent many years denying that she was, at heart, a writer. Her job titles included features copy editor, graphics editor, staff editor, senior communications consultant, senior financial communications writer, and vice president and product manager for thought leadership, and her resume highlights her work at the Chicago Sun-Times, The New York Times, McKinsey & Company, and OppenheimerFunds/Invesco, from which she retired in 2019. She is an independent communications consultant and an active member of the Rochester (NY) Jewish Book Festival, which she chaired in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Her poetry has been published in Silkworm, and she has presented poems and short works of fiction and non-fiction at Writers & Books. She relocated to Florida with her husband and spends her free time playing pickleball, mahjong, and piano, reading and writing. She has been a fan of A Mighty Blaze since its inception and is proud to have joined the team in 2022.
